Lines are up for the big games. Does anyone know when the service that Carl uses releases their bowl lines? Since we're all here to win money, I figured we could throw some ideas around.
Let's get some discussion going on these games.
**Note: These aren't official plays, I'm just putting some thoughts down, so feel free to discuss any bowl game in this thread.
TCU vs. Boise
Outside of some of the BCS games, this will my most anticipated game of the year.
TCU will be favored in this game, and I think that a lot of people will be really confused by the line. If this is anywhere under TCU -4.5, I will be all over this one. #2 defense vs. #3 offense. I think TCU's playing much better ball right now.
TCU had a bad spot playing Utah. They travelled to UNLV and turned around 5 days later and travelled back out west where they were road favorites with a short week and on a nationally televised game. Even with that loss, I think TCU is playing some of the best ball in the nation right now. Boise's offensive strength is the run, and TCU's defensive strength is the run, and when two teams match up like this, I'll take the defensive strength over the offensive strength every day.

I think that this is the best matchup that Utah could have hoped for. These are two very similar teams in all aspects of the game, and this should be a very low scoring affair. Utah has a stellar defense with the best secondary in the MWC and a big and fast defense that should be able to contain an Alabama offense that likes to run in between the tackles much more than bounce the ball to the outside. Utah also has the best special teams unit in the country, which will be a huge advantage in a low scoring game. I think that Bama will win this one, but don't really think that they deserve to be favored by double digits.

Jesus' Strikes Vol. 2
Early morning work has led to some interesting plays and the near first 5 unit selection of the year. I will correct the lines to what I get when they come out. The line in () is what I actually got on my site.
For the Year, Jesus is 4* 1-1, 2* 1-0 for a total of +1.6 units
4 Units Over 208.5(209) Houston vs. Golden State - Although this line is not up on my site yet, I am going to get all over it when it comes out. Houston has been averaging 100 pts a game over their last 7 and the Warriors have been giving up 124.6 over their last 5. The Warriors play no D and the Rockets may get Artest back tonight. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 is the loss of Corey Magettee to an ankle injury making him questionable tonight. I still expect the Warriors to put up 100 in a 115-103 loss to the Rockets.
3 Units Clippers +1 (-1)@ Grizz - The Clippers have been playing better as of late with close losses to Dallas and Denver and a win over Miami. The Grizz have been terrible. Losing 7 straight and they have nothing going for them right now.
2 Units Nets -6.5 vs. T-Wolves - The Nets have been playing well, with the exception of their last game when they shat the bed agains the Wizzards. I like the at home against the T-Wolves who have lost 3 in a row, 4 if you exclude the game against OKC and 5 straight losses ATS. This is a momentum play.
Anybody have any strong feelings about the Foosball tonight? Balls Deep St -14.5 vs Buffalo. I think this is a tough line as Buff plays people tight, but Balls avg margin of Victory is over 20 and their D gives up less than 17 a game.
Also, if the Raiders play the Chargers on Thursday night on NFL network... Will anyone see?

I know I just need to edit posts, but austin put my picks up before i had access to post...so i dont want to hear it...

and for those wondering about the 5 units, dont have much analysis for ya, just saw OK St play and they looked good, think they are pretty even teams and 6.5 points is too high of a spread...And i dont see them both scoring 80, so i take the U

4 units Chargers -9 over Oakland : San Diego has not been playing well, but Oakland is the asshole of the NFL. Game is being played in San Diego. LT has completely owned the Raiders throughout his career, and although he has struggled this season, arguably his best game came against Oakland rushing for 106 and 2 TDs.
3 units Ok. State +5 at Washington: OSU is an experienced team that has played in some tough games already this season (Gonzaga and Michigan State). Washington is 3-3 with their 3 wins being at home against Cleveland, Florida International, and Pacific. OSU is more experienced and should be able to handle the crowd in Washington which I doubt is anything like what these OSU players have dealt with in Big 12 play.

This has sparked motivation for the creation of this blog. I'm sure the format will change over time, but for now, I am going to first post the NCAA lines and the NBA lines in separate posts just to get them up and visible. Then i'm going to invite all who are interested to be authors, so anyone can post.
Post your picks by the end of the day with a unit value between 2 and 5 (lets keep it simple) and I will keep a running record in the right side bar of your records.
If any one has any suggestions to make this system better please feel free to comment. Good luck.
